Only 29 percent of adult cellphone users downloaded mobile apps


According to data released by The Pew Research Center, in a report titled 'Rise of Apps Culture'," 35 percent of adults own cell phones with mobile application support, and just 67 percent of adults have used mobile apps.

Adults are more likely to take a picture (76 percent), send or receive text messages (72 percent), access the internet (78 percent), play a game (34 percent), record a video (34 percent), play music, (33 percent), or send/receive instant messages (30 percent), than they are to use an app (29 percent). The survey showed that 24 percent send or receive email.
